Privacy policy

This privacy policy explains how Inspirespace e.U. ("Inspirespace", "we") processes personal data on inspirespace.co and any sub-domains we operate. The site is a static, pre-rendered website — there are no user accounts, no comment system, no contact forms, and no third-party tracking scripts.

2. What we collect

Emails you send us

When you email us, we receive the address and message contents and process them for the sole purpose of responding to your enquiry and fulfilling any agreement that follows from it. We do not use email addresses for marketing and do not share them with third parties.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract / pre-contractual steps) and Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in communicating with prospective collaborators).

Aggregate analytics (self-hosted Matomo)

We run a self-hosted instance of Matomo to understand aggregate traffic patterns (pages viewed, broad geography, referrer). Matomo stores its data on our own infrastructure — no browsing data is shared with third-party analytics providers such as Google Analytics.

Our Matomo configuration:

• Respects the Do Not Track browser signal — no tracking is performed when DNT is set.
• Runs in cookieless mode — no visitor, session, or referrer cookies are written to your browser.
• IP addresses are anonymized (last octet truncated) by the Matomo server before storage.
• No cross-site identifiers, no advertising cookies, no fingerprinting.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in understanding aggregate usage to improve the site). If you prefer not to be counted even anonymously, enable Do Not Track in your browser or block the tracker — the site works identically.

Server-side request metadata (Cloudflare Pages)

The site is delivered by Cloudflare Pages. As with any website, Cloudflare processes standard HTTP request metadata (IP address, user agent, referrer, response code) to deliver the content and protect against abuse. These logs are retained for short operational windows per Cloudflare's own terms and are not used by us for profiling.

Fonts & assets

Typefaces (Syne and Inter) are self-hosted via Fontsource — no requests are made to fonts.googleapis.com or other third-party origins. All images and scripts are served from our own origin.

Embedded external content

Where a page links to or embeds third-party content (e.g. an external product demo, a GitHub gist, a video), that third party may set its own cookies and collect data per its own policy. We note such embeds in context and keep their use minimal.

3. Cookies

inspirespace.co sets no cookies. Our Matomo tracker runs in cookieless mode, so no visitor, session, or referrer cookie is written to your browser. Do Not Track disables the tracker entirely before it even runs.

4. How long we keep it

• Aggregated, anonymized analytics — indefinitely (no personal data).
• Email correspondence — as long as the business relationship requires, then deleted.
• Cloudflare request logs — per Cloudflare's operational retention.

5. Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request erasure
• Port your data to another controller
• Object to or restrict processing
• Lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde)

6. International transfers

We do not deliberately transfer personal data outside the EU. Cloudflare routes requests to the edge location nearest the visitor; their own DPA covers the underlying transfer framework.

7. Policy updates

We update this policy when the underlying tooling or processing activities change. The "Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the last change; material changes will be announced on the homepage before taking effect.
